HISTORY

South Nest is an online boutique specializing in the rich, artistic décor of the southwest. Born in Tucson, Arizona, South Nest is a line of exquisite pieces that bring flavor and personality to the home. South Nest specializes in stylish jewelry, decorative accessories for the home, unique lighting, and a wide-array of textiles, all representing the colorful and organic essence of the southwest.

South Nest’s founder, Carolyn Maloney, carries the South Nest line in her converted warehouse store, “Old Brazil”, located in the historical shopping district "The Lost Barrio", in Tucson. Since completing part of her Masters in International Business in Rio de Janeiro in 2002, Carolyn frequently returns to Brazil to hand-pick unique furniture, hand-loomed textiles and folk art.

Shortly after opening Old Brazil, Carolyn began searching beyond Brazil for home décor that would compliment and enrich the exquisite Brazilian furniture. The result was the launch of the South Nest line. Now customers from across the country can shop at their leisure, without even getting on a plane! If you do, however, find yourself in the “Old Pueblo”, we welcome you to visit the store and experience the colorful and organic essence of the southwest in person. It is an experience you will not forget!
